Randy Johnson was taken in the fourth round of the 1982 MLB draft by the Atlanta Braves. A highly-touted prospect coming out of Livermore (CA) High School, Johnson was selected in the fourth round of the 1982 MLB draft with the 89th overall pick by the Atlanta Braves.
